Fire Marshal

Manages the Fire Prevention Division to ensure that Fire Prevention staff meets and respond to the Fire Department’s customer service objectives, goals and standards and are following departmental policies and objectives.

Assistant Fire Marshal

Supervises, trains, monitors and evaluates the activities of Senior Fire Inspectors and Fire Inspectors conducting fire and life safety inspections, plan reviews, and fire investigations.

Performs plan review of highly complex fire alarm systems; fire sprinkler and standpipe systems; fire pumps; fixed fire extinguishing systems; smoke control systems; clean agent systems; nonstructural building construction projects; flammable and hazardous materials storage tanks and other facilities to assure compliance with national standards

The Fire Prevention Division is responsible for developing and implementing programs and policies that prevent or reduce the magnitude of emergency occurrences, such as loss of life and property, personal injury or environmental damage.
