Questions and Answers
Question 1: When is the RFP due?
Answer 1: Proposals are due by
5:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time, Friday, August 1,
2008
Question 2: Clarify the 11,000
figure in the proposal – is that 11,000 phone calls
per year, or actual dispatched incident volume?
Answer 2: The 11,000 number is actual
incidents.
Question 3: Section 6.2 on page 7 asks for a detailed
project plan and then lists what it would like
the project plan to include. Two items listed
for inclusion are ‘formal review’ and ‘approval
points’. I don’t really understand what is
meant by these.
Answer 3: "Formal review and approval points” would be a meeting to go
over documentation of objectives and tasks that have
been completed assuring the results meet the
expectations of the Fire Department.
Question 4:
In order to prepare an appropriate task plan
for the above referenced study, has SMFD or
the City budgeted a specific amount for the
study or provided guidance as to an expected
cost range (e.g. $60K-$80K)? If you could
share this, it would be appreciated.
Answer 4:
The Fire Department has been directed to complete
this evaluation by our City Council with no
discussion relating to cost.
